This policy explains the use of cookies and similar technologies on the mokumokuren website and in the mokumokuren desktop application (the "App").

1. This Website​

This website uses no advertising or tracking cookies. For analytics we use GoatCounter, which uses no cookies at all (see the Privacy Policy for details).

  • Essential storage: display preferences (light/dark theme, language) are kept in your browser's localStorage and are never transmitted anywhere.
  • Our host (Firebase Hosting) may set technical cookies for content delivery.

2. Social Networks Inside the App​

The App displays the official web versions of X / Bluesky / Threads / mixi2 / Substack.

  • Each network sets cookies (e.g., to keep you signed in), just as it would in a normal browser.
  • These cookies are stored only on your device, in a partition isolated per account, and are never sent to us.
  • Each network's own cookie and privacy policies apply.

3. Payment Pages​

Stripe's checkout pages, shown when purchasing Pro, use cookies for fraud prevention and similar purposes. See Stripe's policies.

4. Managing Cookies​

  • This website's localStorage can be cleared from your browser settings.
  • Cookies of social networks inside the App (login state) are removed when you delete the account (column).
